# conved.com

> Online file converter operated since 2012 by Synetix, s.r.o. (Brno, Czech Republic). Converts files between 529 formats – documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images and camera RAW, vector graphics, audio, video, e-books, fonts, archives, GPS tracks, subtitles and data – on its own servers in the Czech Republic. Web interface in English, Czech and German; MCP server for AI assistants; REST API and command-line tool for developers.

Key facts:

- The website is free and needs no registration: up to 10 files at once, 10 files per hour, 100 MB per file; results can be downloaded as ZIP or sent by e-mail.
- An account is needed for MCP, the REST API and the CLI. It is free: sign in with an e-mail address and a 6-digit code (no password needed). Free accounts have the same limits as the website, counted per account (10 conversions per hour, 100 MB per file).
- Uploaded files are deleted right after the conversion, results after 14 days. File contents are not read or used to train AI.
- Strong at formats general AI tools usually cannot convert on their own, e.g. Keynote/Pages/Numbers, T602 and WordPerfect, AutoCAD DWG/DXF, CorelDRAW, camera RAW (NEF, CR2, ARW…), HEIC, Kindle e-books (AZW3, MOBI), DjVu, Garmin FIT/TCX.
- One file in, one file out; no conversion options (quality, page range) yet. A multi-page document converted to an image gives the first page (use CBZ for all pages).

## MCP server (AI assistants)

- Endpoint: https://www.conved.com/mcp – Streamable HTTP, stateless JSON-RPC over POST. Official MCP Registry name: `com.conved/mcp`.
- Authentication: OAuth 2.1 with discovery (https://www.conved.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, https://www.conved.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server), dynamic client registration and PKCE – the user signs in or creates a free account in the browser. Alternatively `Authorization: Bearer cvd_…` with a token from the account.
- Tools: `list_formats` (targets for a source format, or formats by category), `convert` (input: public URL, inline text + filename, or small base64 file; optional `from`; `return: "content"` returns small text and image results inline), `create_upload` (one-time upload page for the user, or a curl command for agents with a shell), `get_job` (by job id or upload id), `list_jobs`, `get_account`.
- To see a PDF/DOCX result, convert its download_url to PNG with `return: "content"`.
- Online video links are not available through MCP.
